Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator in Laredo, Texas to join an energetic warehouse team. Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with weekends/holidays as required. Base rate $21.63 per hour. Opportunity to grow, extensive benefits including PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401K, life insurance, and boot allowance after 90 days.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, moving materials, using WMS, and ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Position Details:

Job Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads trailers
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required (Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred)
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
