Overview
Maintain the cashier desk, which includes all forms of payment, non-sufficient funds (NSF), and other miscellaneous cash duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pre-audit and reconcile daily payments received from delivery drivers, sales representatives, and customer.
- Separate invoices into established categories and investigate shortages and overages.
- Perform a series of checks on the invoices and driver paperwork to make sure they are signed, collected if Cash on Delivery (COD), credited if shorted/damaged/refused, etc.
- Prepare the daily deposit to the bank.
- Communicate unresolved issues with Accounts Receivable personnel.
- Batch and balance out all payments received for entry into the system.
- Maintain the security of the warehouse and all products.
- Reconciliation of the daily deposit balancing report and submit to Accounting.
- Maintain inventory and distribution of bank-related supplies and cash receipts.
- Ensure shelves and storage areas are fully stocked and organized.
- Utilize SAP software, including modules such as Material Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM), for creating invoices, inventory checks, and product transfers.
- Assemble boxes for customers to use for transporting purchased products.
- Arrange bottles on shelves to ensure labels are facing forward and products are visually appealing.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED plus 1 year of experience.
- 1 year of experience as a cashier, working in a banking environment, or bookkeeping experience.
- Knowledge in reconciling cash receipts and invoices.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations, and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
- Knowledge of SAP software for sales and inventory management.
- Experience using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning guns for inventory management and tracking.
Physical Demands:
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or an adding machine.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs.
