We are seeking a dedicated Driver cum Warehouse worker to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling various tasks within our warehouse, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods and materials. This role requires someone who is fluent in English.
Job Responsibilities :
Warehouse and Logistics Operations Responsibilities :
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in English with team members and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline warehouse processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain a good image of the company through professional driving, ensuring safety and reliability.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Manage inventory by performing regular physical counts and reconciling discrepancies within the data storage system.
- Handle product returns by inspecting items, processing refunds or exchanges, and restocking as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring that all items are stored in their designated areas.
- Process and analyze order statuses using the company’s ERP system, providing timely and accurate reporting.
Driving and Delivery Responsibilities :
- Operate vehicles in full compliance with company policies, as well as Federal, State, and local laws—including FMCSA regulations.
- Load, unload, and deliver freight to customers according to established schedules.
- Transport goods and passengers safely to designated locations, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company policies and safety protocols. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries using electronic logging devices (ELDs) as required by DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Promptly report accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions from customers professionally and promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of passengers and goods.
Requirements :
Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, and Equipment Maintenance, Customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid non-CDL driver’s license with a clean and excellent driving record.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a professional driver
- Proven experience in a warehouse setting; previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Meets all DOT requirements, including a valid medical card, drug and alcohol test compliance, and knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation systems.
- Proficient in the use of ERP systems for inventory management, order processing, and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as loading and unloading cargo.
- Visual acuity to operate a vehicle and read road signs and navigation systems.
- Manual dexterity for operating vehicle controls and equipment.
Applicants must be willing to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol screens. As well as DOT physical, MVR and background check.
