Job Description

The Warehouse Worker’s main responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and performing inventory and quality control duties. This person ensures the warehouse is clean and organized, maintained in accordance with the facility protocols and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving and inspecting products, accurately labeling items, and reporting discrepancies in deliveries and invoices.
• Organize and store incoming products in designated locations, applying FIFO (first in, first out) inventory controls for perishable items.
• Operate manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and/or forklifts, with training if necessary.
• Pick inventory to assemble orders based on requisitions or established par levels.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accuracy and meet production standards.
• Load, unload, and transport products within the warehouse or to other client locations, using carts, PIVs, or motor vehicles as required.
• Conduct routine physical inventory counts according to established schedules.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately, including maintaining records such as inventory logs, temperature and spoilage logs, and equipment inspections, either on paper or electronically.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including restrooms, break areas, loading docks, and freight areas.
• Implement safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures, using appropriate safety and PPE equipment.
• Ensure the security of client and company assets.
• Interact professionally with clients, employees, vendors, and guests, and attend meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Some locations may require a valid driver’s license; an MVR check will be conducted.

This role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
