Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our safety-conscious team in North Little Rock, AR. This role involves operating a stand-up clamp forklift, loading/unloading trailers, and maintaining accurate records.

We offer PTO, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, 401K, and a boot allowance after 90 days, along with associate discounts. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 5:00am–3:30pm, in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking and time management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up clamp-operator forklift.
• Move large products within the warehouse.
• Complies with all safety requirements.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Communicate with associates from other shifts.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments and material needs.
• Record numbers of units handled using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Move items as per production/shipping orders.
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment where applicable.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up clamp-operator forklift


• Move large products within the warehouse

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs


• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets


• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed


• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line


• Operate forklifts and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)


• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
