Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety-focused team in Aurora, IL. The role involves operating material handling equipment, selecting and packing orders, scanning with a warehouse management system, and preparing shipments for loading.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday 7:30am to 4pm (or finish). Compensation is $21.00 per hour with benefits including PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k), and a $125 boot allowance after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Stand Up Clamp Truck where applicable.
• Match numbers and letters accurately.
• Stage and sort products for loading and unloading trailers.
• Load and unload trailers and place items on pallets or shelves.
• Use a warehouse management system to scan products.
• Read production schedules and customer orders to determine items to move.
• Package or kit finished products for shipping.

Job Responsibilities :

• Utilize a Stand Up Clamp Truck
• Accurately match numbers & letters
• Accurately stage and sort products for loading
• Loads and unloads trailers
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications :

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
