In this role, the Warehouse Worker / Art Handler is responsible for the safe handling, storage, movement, and preparation of fine art and valuable property within the auction house warehouse and gallery spaces. This role supports auction operations by ensuring artwork and collectibles are received, cataloged, stored, packed, and installed with the highest level of care and professionalism.
The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of proper art handling procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key responsibilities include receiving and inspecting incoming consignments, safely moving and storing artwork and objects, assisting with exhibition setup and breakdown, packing items for shipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring warehouse organization and cleanliness. Familiarity with fine art handling techniques, use of packing materials, and basic tools is preferred.
This role plays a critical part in protecting valuable property and maintaining the auction house’s reputation for care, precision, and excellence.
