M. J. Kellner Co., Inc. is seeking a dependable Warehouse Worker for the 2nd shift in our Springfield, IL facility. You will accurately pick, stack, and stage customer orders to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This is a physical, overnight role, Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with overtime. Starting wage is $22.25 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, increasing after one year to $25.25 per hour with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read pack sizes and order labels and match to items.
• Demonstrated ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds safely.
• Ability to operate in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Picks product in all temperature zones (Freezer, Cooler, Dry).
• Stacks and stages customer orders for on-time delivery.
• Uses warehouse tools and equipment safely per procedures.
• Reads labels and performs daily data lookups for product location.
• Maintains safety and quality standards; communicates professionally.

Summary

The Second Shift Warehouse Worker accurately and productively picks, stacks, and stages customer orders to meet daily deadlines and ensure that we consistently and reliably deliver successto our customers.

This is a very PHYSICAL job with OVERNIGHT hours.

Essential Functions

• Picks product in all temperature zones as directed (Freezer, Cooler, Dry dock).
• Uses assigned tools and equipment safely and as instructed.
• Ensures all pallets are presentable to customers and meet the company's commitmentto quality: pallet width variance, height, and repack case weight. All items on pallet are properly stacked and secured for safe transport.
• Meets or exceeds all company safety and performance expectations, follows all handbook and operations policies and procedures.
• 40 hours per week guarantee.
• Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM (overtime does occur).
• Ability to complete daily workload as instructed in a high volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to read pack size, order labels, and match to visible items and other data.
• Ability to perform computer lookup/inquiries to determine product location and/or description.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, able to communicate on a professional level.
• Team mindset with the ability to successfullywork both independently and cooperatively with peers.
• Knowledge and practice of safe lifting techniques.

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment, which includes variable temperatures, exposure to noise and vibrations from forklifts/other equipment, and operating near moving mechanical parts, such as forklifts and ride-on pallet jacks.

Physical Demands

• Walking and standing for most of the shift
• Some stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Reaching and carrying with hands and arms
• Lifting and carrying 60 pounds most of the shift, occasionally heavier
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate warehouse tools and equipment
• Ability to hear and speak into headset
• Close visual work on computer terminal

Job Type:Full-time, Non-exempt

Compensation:The starting wage is $22.25/hr + $1.00 shift differential, which equals $23.25/hr. Upon completing one year of employment, the hourly wage will increase by $2.00.
