Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Warehouse Worker on 2nd shift to support our distribution team and ensure products move safely and efficiently from receiving to shipping.

You will count product, package for shipment, load and unload materials, maintain quality control, and follow SOPs and food-safety practices. Training and certifications are provided to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Must pass Forklift training and receive certification.
• Demonstrates safe forklift and electric walking pallet jack operations.

Responsibilities

• Count finished product cases from production.
• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stage finished product for loading.
• Load finished product onto truck.
• Unload raw materials from truck.
• Receive inbound raw materials.
• Move raw materials to warehouse storage.
• Quality control; ensure no damaged product/material leaves facility.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Complete daily logs.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Lock out equipment when not in use.
• Follow SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices.

What You'll Do Every Day

As a Warehouse Worker, you're at the heart of our distribution team — keeping products moving and operations running smoothly:

• Properly counts finished product cases from production.
• Packages finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stages finished product for loading.
• Loads finished product onto truck.
• Unloads raw materials from truck.
• Receives inbound raw materials.
• Moves raw materials to warehouse storage.
• Responsible for quality control; no damaged product is sent out. No damaged raw material is accepted in.
• Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Completes daily logs.
• Communicates with operators from other shifts.
• Cleans and maintains work area.
• Turns off and locks out equipment when not in use.
• Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
• Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Able to stay focused in a loud working environment.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules 100% of the time.
• Demonstrates experience with loading trailers.
• Must pass Forklift training and receive certification.
• Demonstrates safe forklift and electric walking pallet jack operations.
