DUTIES :

Performs a wide range of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping merchandise.Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments/trucks.Reports over, short, or damaged conditions.Understands space issues and shrinking and expanding warehouse areas as needed.Completesandsignsshippingandreceivingreports.Routesmerchandisetocorrectlocations or storage areas.Stacks, rotates, and marks/prices stock in accordance with standard warehouse procedures.Counts types and quantities of items during inventories.Recounts or searches other storage locations to assist in determining the basis for over, short, or misplaced items.

Receivesworkthroughwrittenandoralinstructionsthatareclearandconcise.Workmaybechecked in progress or on completion for compliance and adherence to instructions and directives.

Performshousekeepingtaskssuchascleaningfloors,fixtures,etc.,asneededintheareasassigned. Assists in the taking of inventories at required intervals.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

Minimum :

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry supplies, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.Usuallyworksindoors,andoccasionallyout.Exposedtopossibilityofcuts,scrapesand bruises.
  • Preferred (in addition to the minimum):

  • Experience:handling,storing,andshippingmaterialsorsupplies;operatingmaterialhandling equipment; accessing information on a computer; reviewing documents for accuracy and
  • completeness as evidenced by 1 year equivalent experience as a warehouse worker 3 in a retail environment.
