Job description

Join a dynamic and fast-paced environment as a Material Handler with a leading international precision metal manufacturing company. This role requires you to maintain and control the movement of stock from warehouse locations to the production floor, support production, and organize inventory. This position is critical in ensuring a smooth production process through effective material handling and housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up materials line-side to support production.
• Maintain truck wells, organize pallets, and manage cardboard waste.
• Control stock movement from the warehouse to the production floor and finished goods to proper locations.
• Organize customer containers to and from the production line.
• Support production activities (50%), organize inventory (30%), and perform miscellaneous duties (20%).

2nd shift - 4pm - 2am - Monday through Thursday.

• 2 years of warehouse experience.
• Proficiency in material handling and order picking.
• Experience with stand-up forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Skills in shipping, receiving, inventory, and packing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with stand-up electric forklifts.
• Possession of a chauffeur's license.

Work in a clean, fast-paced environment at the 1201 Building, engaged in the manufacturing of metal exhaust systems for automotive manufacturers. The facility features automated tube benders, welding machines, material handling robots, and conveyors. Expect consistent loud noises from machines in some areas. Comply with PPE and safety requirements, including wearing steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, all provided except shoes. The schedule is a 2nd shift from 4 pm to 2 am, Monday through Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
