Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Worker

The Warehouse Worker in Chatham is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all products received and shipped during the assigned shift.

During their shift, the Warehouse Worker will assist with three main functions: receiving, inventory control and cooler operations, and shipping. They will follow company guidelines regarding quality control, safety, and standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and timely shipping and receiving under the supervision of the location Manager.

This position reports to the location Manager in Chatham.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the flow of goods; shipping and receiving of products
• Obtain and process product orders (primarily shellfish)
• Receive, register, and distribute products received by the warehouse
• Maintain the stockroom and coolers through organization, cleaning, and cataloging
• Assist with logistical planning to ensure sufficient storage for incoming items
• Keep records of goods shipped and received
• Ensure correct products are delivered to the right locations on time
• Assist with local pickup and delivery of products
• Help meet quality, quantity, and customer satisfaction standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of coolers and warehouse orders
• Track and report back-orders, short-listed items, and unfulfilled orders to leadership

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations
• Experience in shellfish/seafood is a plus
• Ability to operate inventory equipment such as scan guns
• Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Support department managers to achieve goals
• Maintain a safe and performance-driven environment

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds
• Work up to 10 hours per day, mostly standing or walking
• Use of hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Physical motions include bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
• Work in temperatures below 32°F
• Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, and weekends as needed
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives
