Job summary

Growscape in Ohio is seeking an experienced warehouse associate to support receiving, picking and loading operations. The role requires forklift, reach, or turret truck experience and familiarity with RF scanning and warehouse management software.

You will maintain safety, accuracy in inventory counts, and quality control while collaborating with Customer Service and completing packing, BOL, and shipping paperwork. This is a full-time on-site position with day/evening/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 12+ months forklift/truck experience required.
• 12+ months warehouse/distribution experience required.
• Experience with RF scan guns and warehouse management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound shipments and unload pallets.
• Pick customer orders according to tickets and inspect condition of items.
• Load products onto trailers and ensure proper staging and documentation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with regular spot checks and audits.
• Follow safety and company procedures to keep work areas clean and organized.

Shifts are Days (M-Th 5:00 A-3:30 P), Evenings (M-Th 3:30 P-2:00 A) and Weekends (F-Su 6:30 A - 7:00 P)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized work environment, always prioritizing safety
• Receiving:
  • Unloads inbound shuttles from the plants
  • Puts product away in an organized manner
  • Tracks bin locations of new product
  • Consolidates product when applicable to create additional storage space
• Picking:
  • Picks customer orders according to pick ticket specifications
  • Ensures product and packaging is in good condition
  • Stages product in stop order in designated staging lane, consolidates product when applicable
• Loading:
  • Loads product from staging area onto specified truck trailer
  • Ensures product is in excellent shipping condition and in the proper stop order
  • Completes audit sheets when applicable
  • Works with site Customer Service Reps to verify additional product that might be available
  • Completes all necessary BOL and internal paperwork
• Inventory:
  • Completes spot checks and inventory counts based upon assignments provided by the Inventory Analyst
  • Investigates discrepancies in product, quantity, or labeling
  • Daily auditing of skus and quantities
  • Maintains corrugate variety and supply
• Projects: Works independently or on a team to complete special projects for the site
• All tasks: Maintains quality service by following Growscape's company-wide standards; maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping bin locations, pallet area, and workstations neat and free of debris and trash; maintain clean shipping supply area; complies with company procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 12 months continuous experience on Forklifts, Reach Trucks or Turret Trucks
• Minimum of 12 months cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
• Experience in RF Scan Guns and Warehouse Management Computer Software

Skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of the team
• Organizational, planning, documentation, reporting and time management skills
• Excellent attendance

Physical Requirements

• The ability to lift 50 lbs, and to stand, bend, stretch, sit and reach continuously throughout the shift
• Tolerance for changing warehouse conditions due to weather (extreme heat or cold)
