Job summary

Coast Southwest, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Worker to support daily operations in our Irving, TX facility. You will pick customer orders by product name and lot number, load and unload trucks with a forklift, and keep work areas clean and organized to meet quality and safety standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior warehouse experience. You will follow EHS guidelines, FSMA, cGMP, and RD procedures and may assist with production activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, cGMPs, FSMA, and RD procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Possession of a valid Class B license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Offload inbound containers and verify paperwork for accurate shipping information.
  • Load outbound trucks, review product names, lot numbers, and quantities.
  • Label products and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Comply with EHS, FSMA, cGMP, and RD procedures.
  • Participate in production-area activities, operating equipment and assisting with paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Warehouse Worker will perform all aspects of warehouse operations, including selecting customer orders by product name and lot number, loading and unloading trucks using a forklift, and performing housekeeping activities. This position requires compliance with company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), and Responsible Distribution Code requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Offload inbound containers and common carriers. Verify all paperwork, including bills of lading, for accurate shipping information, inspect products for damage, and store each product in its designated warehouse location.
  • Load outbound trucks and containers for next-day deliveries while conducting a detailed review of product names, lot numbers, and quantities. Label products in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping bays, pallet areas, and workstations organized through daily housekeeping activities.
  • Comply with all EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), FSMA, cGMP, and Responsible Distribution (RD) procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Participate in production-area activities, including operating the pumping station, driving forklifts, preparing and reviewing paperwork, ensuring packaged products are clean and securely fastened, and labeling and marking packaged products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift and demonstrate competent sit-down forklift driving skills.
  • Ability to follow safety requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), batch records, and other required documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, legible handwriting, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to support company safety, quality, and operational objectives.
  • Possession of a valid Class B driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one if required for backup delivery-driver responsibilities.

  • Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Ability to verbally communicate both in person and via telephone.
  • Ability to utilize safety equipment, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses, back belts, etc.
  • Ability to utilize and operate various production equipment, including but not limited to mixers, monitoring equipment, scales, meters, valves, hoses, etc.
  • Ability to utilize various office equipment, including computer, telephone, fax machine, and copy machine.
  • The job function requires high physical demand. Lift up to 50 lbs, ability to move or handle boxes, bags, drums, and totes as well as assemble and disassemble large pieces of equipment and tanks. All functions may occur on a daily basis.
