Job summary

Cargill Food Distribution in Illinois is seeking a warehouse associate to operate a standup forklift and electric pallet jacks, pick products, and perform cycle counts in a fast-paced distribution facility.

Responsibilities include scanning inventory, rotating stock, basic billing/filing, and maintaining clean work areas. Candidates must be able to lift up to 80 lbs, work rotating shifts, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting up to 80 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting.
• Able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment.
• Must be able to communicate in English (verbal/written).

Job Details

• Job Type: Full Time
• Salary: $19.50 plus $0.50 as shift differential
• Shift Available: Rotating. Sunday 7am to 4pm / Monday to Thursday 3pm to 12pm

Requirements

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 80lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
• Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
• Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays with advance notice

Preferred

• Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Forklift experience
• Basic use of a computer
• Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
• Working knowledge of inventory systems
• At least 1 year experience in production related work
• High School diploma or Equivalent
