Position Overview

The Warehouse Worker in Chatham is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all products received and shipped during their shift. They will assist with receiving, inventory control, cooler operations, and shipping, following company guidelines on quality, safety, and standard operating procedures under the supervision of the location Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with the flow of goods, including shipping and receiving of products.
2. Obtain and process product orders, primarily shellfish.
3. Receive, register, and distribute products received by the warehouse.
4. Maintain the stockroom and cooler through organization, cleaning, and cataloging.
5. Assist with logistical planning to ensure adequate storage for incoming items.
6. Keep records of goods shipped and received.
7. Ensure correct products are delivered to the right location on time.
8. Assist with local pick-up and delivery of products.
9. Ensure quality, quantity, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of coolers and warehouse orders.
11. Track and report back-orders, short-listed items, and unfulfilled orders to leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience in shellfish/seafood is a plus.
• Ability to operate inventory equipment like scan guns.
• Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Support department managers to achieve goals.
• Maintain a safe and high-performance work environment.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds.
• Work up to 10 hours per day, mostly standing and walking.
• Use of hands for grasping, manipulating, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Work in temperatures below 32°F, in wet and dry conditions.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives.
