Under the direction of a Warehouse Manager II or Material and Stores Supervisor at the Sacramento Warehouse, the incumbent performs journey level warehouse worker duties. The successful candidate must adhere to ethical practices and policies, ensure best value for the State, and demonstrate a positive attitude and a commitment to providing quality service that is accurate, timely, and exceeds customers’ expectations.
While at their base of operations, employees will work in a climate controlled warehouse operation under artificial lighting. Employee may also be required to work outdoors and may be exposed to rain, dirt, noise, uneven surfaces, and/or extreme heat or cold.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Warehouse Worker exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Working Conditions
Position located at 1900 Royal Oaks Drive, Sacramento, CA 95815, Sacramento County.
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Special Requirements
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle.
