JOB DESCRIPTION :

SUMMARY

Responsible for processing incoming and out-going shipments of products and / or material in compliance with the company's guidelines and with attention to the specifics set forth in the customers' directions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving :

  • Receives and unloads all incoming product shipments and materials.
  • Examines product, packaging and labeling for conformance to company requirements.
  • Reviews the incoming shipment for accuracy with the purchase order and / or the accompanying documentation. This includes verification of counts and numbers of units of material / product for reconciliation to orders. GF system information may also be included for verifications.
  • Resolves receiving problems and notifies Supervisory personnel of any issues.
  • Identifies damaged goods for proper notification and / or communication to shipper upon receipt.
  • Properly stacks incoming goods on pallets.
  • Moves and places approved incoming product in designated inventory locations for storage.
  • Properly stages non-conforming product or components when identified at any phase of product movement.

Shipping :

  • Performs all picking functions ensuring that product picked conforms to order requirements
  • Verifies shipping information.
  • Properly stages non-conforming product or components when identified at any phase of product movement.
  • Examines product, packaging and labeling for conformance to company specifications.

General :

  • Performs various other related duties as directed.

QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

Responsible for adhering to the established GFHP's quality system and facility procedures in your respective department. Responsible for identifying problems that can have an impact on product quality and reporting the information to your supervisor. Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures and incorporate sound safety and housekeeping practices in performing day-to-day functions in the work environment.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to read instructions, follow oral instructions to ascertain material and product conformance and communicate discrepancies to supervisor.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Able to apply basic mathematical concepts including addition, subtraction, and multiplication in practical situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to learn basic inventory systems applications for reviewing and reporting.

REASONING ABILITY

Applies sound principles to logical and practical problems.
