Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Adel, GA is seeking a motivated warehouse associate to receive and put away inbound product, pick items for staging and delivery, and move parts using manual or powered equipment. You will maintain orderly work areas and follow safety policies while supporting team goals.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and up to 1 year of related experience; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Up to 1 year of work related experience.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Forklift experience or PIT exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inbound product to designated location.
• Pick and pull correct product from locations and deliver to staging area/delivery truck.
• Operate manual or powered equipment to transport product in and around warehouse.
• Sort and place parts and supplies on racks, shelves, or bins as per predetermined sequence.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• Up to 1 year of work related experience.

Preferred Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Warehouse, or similar, work environment, prior PIT (forklift, order picker, etc) experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
• Problems encountered are simple, repetitive, and generally solved by clear directions and procedures.
• Follows standard procedures with no decision making involved.
• Uses guidance/guidelines provide by supervisor/manager.
• Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.
• The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
