Summary:

To assist with the smooth flow of all warehouse-related activities. Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in receiving, inventory, and order processing. To load/unload and move trucks in a proper and safe manner. Responsible for handling the product carefully and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Attend and participate in department meetings that cover safety, quality and productivity issues.
2. Picking and packing orders.
3. Work with transport drivers to ensure incoming loads are received in a timely manner.
4. Able to review receiving documentation to ensure accuracy.
5. Ensure goods are loaded into trucks in a safe and logical order.
6. Properly operate all powered equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
7. Make sure the load is properly secured.
8. Unload products from incoming delivery trucks.
9. Moving and staging trucks and tractor trailers as needed.
10. Provide efficient, productive operations of company and product.
11. Verify order to ensure correct products loaded.
12. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
13. Address and resolve problems, as appropriate.
14. Must achieve cost-effective standards for all warehouse activities. Practice good housekeeping skills i.e. clean up spills immediately or flag the area off, avoid blocking emergency exits and report any potential hazards to a supervisor.
15. Follow all established safety rules and obey safety signs and tags.
16. Will be called upon to drive (deliveries) several times per month.
17. Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to manager.
18. Represent the company in a positive manner in all interactions.
19. Perform other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Minimum of 1 year related experience.
3. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.

Preferred:

1. Prior experience in driving both tractor trailers and straight trucks.
2. Forklift certification a plus.

Pay Range: $18.90 - $23.25 per hour
