Job summary

American Waterworks is seeking a Shop Technician to join our team in Fargo. You will support inventory control, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure the facility remains clean and in good working order to meet production needs.

You will manage receiving, storing, and reconciling inventory while helping to keep the grounds and warehouse in showroom condition. The role emphasizes strong internal customer service for production crews and adherence to safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory management preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, walk, crawl, and climb a ladder.

Responsibilities

• Assist in keeping needed inventory levels by overseeing physical counts and reconciling with upcoming production needs
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Ensure every part of our facility is consistently clean and in working order
• Receive and store inventory in an efficient and economical manner
• Help maintain warehouse to showroom level
• Help maintain the physical conditions of the grounds
• Assist with the company’s tool inventory program
• Ensure our production crews have a remarkable internal customer service experience by getting the products, equipment, and tools they need at the right time
• Other duties as necessary
