Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Canton, OH, is seeking a Warehouse Technician for the Weekend Shift (Friday–Sunday, 6:30am–7:00pm). This onsite role supports the Logistics Fulfilment Team and requires a commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

You will receive and move parts, operate forklifts and reach trucks, stock and pull items from locations up to 22 ft high, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to all production standards and housekeeping rules.

Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and move parts up to 75 pounds in weight unassisted, pull/push and slide parts up to 100 lbs. unassisted, while maintaining quality and production standards in Receiving of parts.
• Ability to stoop, bend, twist and reach into 48" deep locations to pull or stock truck parts.
• Stand and/or walk 100% of the work schedule, with exception to break and lunch times.
• Ability to safely operate and / or work in the vicinity of many types of equipment, such as forklifts, reach trucks, pick trucks, propane powered lifts, battery changing equipment, electric carousels, conveyor lines, heavy duty pneumatic staple guns, compactors, dock levelers, etc.. without risk to self or other employees.
• Ability to operate stand-up reach lifts, rated at 4,000 lbs lifting capacity as well as man-up order picker to a height of 22ft. rated at 3,000 lbs. lifting capacity.
• Maintain housekeeping requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others within and outside the work group.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Participation in Continuous Improvement program (TOS) and responsible for coming up with ideas / suggestions for improvement.
