SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports warehouse Supervisor and Manager in daily functions and helps drive overall team success
• Fills in when team members are absent and as business needs dictate
• Responsible for support of warehouse Supervisor/Manager, performance of their team, and that all tasks are performed safely, accurately and on time
• Operates and demonstrates proficiency in every Warehouse Tech job function, and will serve as a trainer for those functions; will also support warehouse Supervisor in ensuring Team Members are current on all regulatory and safety training
• Serves as first point of contact for Warehouse Tech questions and in providing assistance
• Supports Warehouse Tech team members by imparting knowledge and expertise of job functions
• Supports Supervisor/Manager in ensuring that processes are properly documented, followed and continually improved
• Balances daily workload and makes necessary adjustments to minimize overtime; accomplishes daily completion targets
• Support Supervisors and Managers in investigation of deviations as appropriate; collaborates to identify and solve work-related problems
• Escalates any potential safety, quality and employee concerns, including injury and accident reporting
• Escalates personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible, or escalates them to the Supervisor/Manager and HR for resolution
• Day-to-day coaching of employees in work-related activities, including personal growth and job enrichment
• Escalates to Supervisor and HR when formal documented coaching or counseling memos may be needed for employees in work-related activities
• Maintains showcase standards ensuring safety and that the warehouse is always ready for presentation
• Participates in and/or conducts safety, quality or other team meetings
• Escalates defects through POI, cycle times, double check, Paretos and supports efforts to eliminate defects
• Supports Clean Room as applicable
• Supports EOS as applicable
• Maintains safety and security standards by reporting any items or people within the service center which appear to be out of order to management immediately
• Participates in safety, quality or other committee memberships as needed
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to OSHA, RCRA and Dept of Homeland Security Site Security Plan

QUALIFICATIONS

ExperienceandEducation:

• 3+ year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Forklift experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Warehouse job functions in order to provide support to the Supervisor and team

CommunicationSkills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to support Supervisor, Manager and team in writing of reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees
• Ability to effectively relate to all levels of employees, and build and maintain successful relationships

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Proficiency knowledge of WMS systems or related warehouse system
• Proficiency in applicable programs

Other SkillsandAbilities:

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Periodically lift up to 50 lbs
• Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
• See both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses)
• Identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device)
• Adapt your schedule as needed to accommodate the business requirements, which may involve occasional early arrivals, late stays, and last-minute adjustments. This may also entail being available during holidays or outside of regular shifts
