Job summary

Rinchem Chandler Warehouse is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team of Technicians and Specialists at 6805 W Morelos Pl, Chandler, Arizona. The role focuses on training, scheduling, and coordinating daily tasks while partnering with the Operations Manager for CSC to ensure safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings forklift and supervisory experience, strong inventory control, and knowledge of warehouse systems.

Qualifications

  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Supervisory job functions in order to provide support to the Supervisor and team.
  • 2 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the work team leader and fills in when team members are absent and as business needs dictate.
  • Responsible for the performance of the team they supervise and that all tasks are performed safely, accurately and on time.
  • Proficient in every job they oversee and will serve as the trainer for those functions; will also ensure Team Members are current on all regulatory and safety training.
  • Owns the processes that they supervise and ensure that they are properly documented, followed and continually improved.
  • Balances daily workload and makes necessary adjustments to employee schedules to minimize overtime and total labor costs; approves vacation requests, etc.; accomplishes daily completion targets.
  • Responsible for entering NCRs as appropriate and often serves as primary investigator; collaborates with workers and managers to identify and solve work-related problems, participants in Kaizen and/ or rapid improvement teamsAddresses and/or escalates any potential safety, quality and employee concerns, including injury and accident reporting.
  • Resolves personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible, or escalates them to the Manager for resolution.
  • Coaches and counsels employees regularly in work-related activities, personal growth, and job enrichment, includes performing and presenting MMFs and annual appraisals, recommends disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Maintains showcase standards ensuring safety and that the warehouse is always ready for presentation.
  • Conducts safety, quality or other team meetings, and serves in committee memberships as needed.
  • Records defects through POI, cycle times, double check, Paretos and leads efforts to eliminate defect.

QUALIFICATIONS

ExperienceandEducation:

  • Forklift experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Supervisory job functions in order to provide support to the Supervisor and team
  • 2 year of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Supervisor experience preferred

CommunicationSkills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to effectively relate to all levels of employees, and build and maintain successful relationships

Computer Skills:

  • Ability to learn system(s) of record
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems preferred
  • MS Office suite skills and experience (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with NCR/CAPA system and ability to help determine root cause and make suggestions for continuous improvement

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts
  • Ensure quality assurance processes and procedures are followed
  • Utilize a warehouse system to maintain appropriate work documents
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
  • Experience using a handheld scanner
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives
