Job summary

BISSELL, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Technician I for a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 2:45 pm–1 am) in Grand Rapids, MI. You will join a collaborative team and support liquid filling, packaging, and blowmolding operations while handling material movement and trailer loading/unloading.

You will learn BISSELL's Skill System, train peers, and contribute to safety and process improvements. Prior forklift and ERP experience are beneficial in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have safety-first mindset and report hazards promptly.
• Capable of lifting 0–50 lbs.
• 2nd shift availability with 4x10s schedule and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Support liquid filling, packaging, and blowmolding operations.
• Perform material pick/placement and deliver to designated areas.
• Unload/load inbound and outbound trailers and perform trailer checks.
• Use ERP system (Oracle) to locate items and operate forklift computer.
• Unpack/repack product for E-Commerce and ensure quality per specs.
• Carry out simple assembly tasks on small parts and maintain clean work areas.
• Provide team feedback and train others as needed.

Job description

Overview

This is a 2nd shift role working 4 10's Monday - Thursday 2:45 pm - 1am.

As a Warehouse Technician I, you will be part of a collaborative team with opportunities for career advancement by leveraging the BISSELL Skill System that allows for a variety of promotional paths. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop by supporting liquid filling, packaging, and blowmolding operations. This process will include picking, placing, and the delivering of materials to specified areas. In addition, you will also be unloading/loading inbound and outbound trailers.

As you continue to develop in your career, you will train other team members on technical skills and standard operating procedures while also providing team member feedback to support their development.

Responsibilities

• Strong attention to detail, ensuring a heightened focus on safety and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.Report issues when they arise – this should be done quickly to minimize any impact on the efficiency of production.
• Perform physical inventory and cycle counts.
• Load/unload trailers per truck diagram.
• Offload and receive bulk chemical deliveries.
• Use ERP system (Oracle) to look up and transfer items on forklift computer.
• Unpack, repack, and perform other tasks to prepare product for E-Commerce.
• Ensure product quality according to specifications.
• Perform simple and repetitive assembly operations on small parts.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
• Perform other duties as assigned.
