Job summary

City of Fayetteville, AR seeks a Warehouse Technician to manage parts storage, orders, deliveries and equipment maintenance. You will operate a forklift, inspect freight, and help supervise temporary staff while ensuring safety and reliability in a busy municipal warehouse.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience; a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within six months is expected, and a license for Arkansas water distribution is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; three years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with backhoes, dump trucks, service trucks, etc. is desirable.
• Must obtain Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse price quotes, look up parts and stock as needed.
• Operate forklift both in-house and in yard, loading and unloading trucks.
• Maintain and inventory construction materials and supplies.
• Maintain and repair hand tools, power tools, power saws and other equipment.
• Perform delivery and pickup of parts, supplies and equipment.
• Receive and sort incoming freight; verify against purchase orders.
• Design and build objects using metal, wood, plastic as requested.
• Safely operate power tools, hand tools and heavy equipment.
• Keep warehouse and yard area clean, safe and orderly.
• Take Water or Sewer Call Duty as assigned.
• Assist in supervising temporary workers in the Warehouse.
• Perform Purchase Card and Purchase Order purchases as approved.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• May perform grounds maintenance including mowing.
• May be assigned to Field Crew.
