Job summary

Accel Entertainment, Inc. seeks a field equipment technician to inspect, repair, and prepare gaming devices and related equipment for deployment or decommissioning according to state specifications.

You will move and service slot machines, ATMs, and amusement devices, ensuring quality and compliance while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of electronic technical training preferred.
  • 2 years of slot technician/video gaming terminal, ATM, or amusement equipment experience, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and equipment preferred.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to understand basic electronic theory and mechanics.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and instruments.
  • Able to operate forklifts and non-powered dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Versatility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Terminal Handler’s License from the Illinois Gaming Board.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and integrity of all incoming and outgoing equipment.
  • Move gaming terminals, Ticket Redemption Machines, ATMs, Amusement Equipment, and related equipment between transport trucks, warehouse storage, and equipment preparation areas.
  • Obtain forklift certification and use non-powered dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Disassemble obsolete or damaged equipment, then test and clean removed parts.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, clean, and repair electronic gaming devices, Ticket Redemption Machines, ATMs, Amusement Equipment, machine parts, and related equipment.
  • Install and remove locks on video gaming terminals, Ticket Redemption Machines, ATMs, and Amusement Devices.
  • Identify and troubleshoot all malfunctions to perform repairs of electronic devices and equipment.
  • Identify and communicate inventory needs for equipment to ensure minimal downtime and quick turnaround of product.
  • Observe all safety regulations and report unsafe conditions to management.
  • Follow all department, company, and state policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties may be required, such as oversight on parts, management of any camera related initiatives, and installation of gaming and amusement equipment.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction and deliver a positive experience to both internal and external customers.

Job Description

SUMMARY The primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to inspecting, cleaning, repairing, troubleshooting, moving, disassembling, reassembling, and preparing gaming, amusement, and ATM equipment for field deployment or decommissioning in accordance with Accel Entertainment and Illinois Gaming Board specifications.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity, including use of a keyboard
  • Frequently required to lift/push weights up to 1100 pounds
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust or focus
  • Exposure to hot and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
Base Pay Range

#AEGAMING Base Pay Range: $22.00 per hour This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The base salary will depend on a number of factors such as: qualifications, experience level, and skillset.
