Job summary

Merck is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to support production and packaging by moving materials, maintaining accurate SAP records, and ensuring timely order fulfilment. The role requires forklift and cherry picker experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Candidates should have experience with SAP or similar inventory systems and be able to work in a fast-paced production environment in the United States.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with established health, safety, and environment policies and procedures.
  • Handle materials in a safe, orderly and accurate manner.
  • Provide material support to production areas and support warehouse, QC and dispatch flow.
  • Maintain accurate physical and virtual inventory records for assigned stock, including TOS finished goods in SAP.
  • Retrieve TOS finished goods from warehouse locations for Dispatch upon request and record the corresponding SAP movements.
  • Pull stock material for packing and laser areas; ensure accuracy by SKU number and description.
  • Replenish the laser room and other production/packing areas as needed, maintaining order and segregation.
  • Pick up finished orders and deliver to the corresponding departments (QC, Warehouse, Dispatch, Packaging).
  • Assist with the timely fulfilment of orders by maintaining the flow of material to and from production areas.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks.
  • Work with production and warehouse team members to meet operational goals.

JOB SUMMARY:

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working in material handling or warehouse
  • Experience using computer and SAP or other inventory management systems; experience executing stock movements in SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with help if needed).
  • Ability to identify colors and sizes of different materials.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work at height using man lift.
  • Forklift and Cherry picker experience is required.
  • Ability to follow written procedures for inventory and SAP transactions.

The salary range for this role is: $43,100 - $67,800

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
