Job summary

nVent is seeking a warehouse associate in Simpsonville, KY. The role involves training in JD Edwards ERP to move orders through production and shipping, understanding part numbers, and ensuring accurate packing labels and customer requirements.

You will inspect incoming parts and maintain inventory accuracy while assisting with material handling and picking activities. The position emphasizes counting accuracy, basic math skills, and teamwork with a strong work ethic and readiness for overtime

Qualifications

Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Training in JD Edwards ERP system which is used to advance orders through various stages of production and shipping
  • Understanding of part numbers
  • Accurate matching of visual information on packing lists with customer specific requirements and product labels
  • Quality inspection of incoming parts
  • Maintaining inventory control accuracy standards
  • Assisting with material handling of product received and placing in appropriate pick locations
YOU HAVE:
  • Team-focused approach and willingness to exchange and share information with coworkers as well as follow verbal and written instructions provided by production lead
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to focus on counting products accurately with weigh counting scales
  • Strong addition and multiplication skills
  • Willingness to work voluntary/mandatory overtime when business dictates
  • Previous experience in picking/packing/warehouse environment a plus
Abilities to meet the following physical and environmental demands:
  • Repetitively lift 10+ pounds
  • Occasionally lift up to 35 pounds
  • Stand/walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Bend, stoop, twist, reach
  • Operate motorized equipment safely
