Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Build and prepare shipping crates to protect materials during storage and transport.
• Load, unload, and transport goods using forklift and pallet jacks.
• Prepare shipping containers, install interior flooring, and apply coatings to ensure sound structure.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against orders; document discrepancies.
• Pack, stage, and prepare outbound shipments with proper documentation.
• Create and maintain records of warehouse operations (packing lists, inspection reports).
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist with other day-to-day warehouse functions.

The Warehouse Technician operates as part of the logistics team to ensure materials and equipment are handled safely and efficiently as they are moved within company facilities and prepared for shipment. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for daily container preparation including packaging, crate construction, and preparing materials for internal and external movement. The Warehouse Technician works with several department team members to ensure materials are properly organized and accessible to support project timelines. This role includes loading and unloading materials, operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, assembling and staging materials for projects, and maintaining an organized and clean work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Build and prepare custom shipping crates to protect materials during storage and transport.
• Load, unload, and transport goods using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Prepare shipping containers for use, including installing or repairing interior flooring and applying protective coatings and paint to ensure the containers are structurally sound, clean, and ready for safe and secure storage or transport of materials.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, and document any discrepancies or damage.
• Pack, stage, and prepare outbound shipments to ensure materials are properly secured and documented for transport.
• Create and maintain records of warehouse operations, such as packing lists and inspection reports.
• Follow established safety rules and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Assist with other day-to-day warehouse functions.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not require the supervision of direct reports.

This job operates in a warehouse environment, inside and outside, in all weather conditions, and in professional offices. The employee must routinely use tools of the trade and standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb, and stand. Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. may occur.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, on-site, hourly position. Standard days and hours are 40 hours per week, with weekends and extended hours as needed. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on business needs.

Occasional travel may be required.

Required Education and Experience

Work Authorization / Security Clearance

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal government security clearance.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Must possess a valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID requirements.
• Must be able to travel with the Continental United States (CONUS).
