Job summary

Insight Environmental in Lima, OH, is seeking a Warehouse Technician to support daily warehouse operations in a refinery environment. You will receive, store, stage, and issue materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, operating warehouse equipment, and using SAP/Maximo ERP systems. Monday–Friday schedule with on-call rotations and a strong focus on quality and housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment.
  • Familiarity with inventory software and ERP systems (Maximo, SAP).

Responsibilities

  • Transact inventory using SAP MM/PM modules and manage materials.
  • Verify goods and receipts; ensure PMI compliance and tracking.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and safe, clean workspace.
  • Provide timely service at warehouse counter and issue materials to work orders.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and support safety audits.

Insight Environmental has a Warehouse Technician opening in Lima, OH. Ideal candidates must be within a comfortable commutable distance. We are looking for candidates that are available to work the hours of 7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday with rotating on calls (weekly).

Role

Reporting to the Team Lead, Materials Management Logistics and Inventory Optimization, the Warehouse Technician position is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations in a refinery environment, including receiving, storing, staging, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items for use at the refinery. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and adheres to safety and quality standards. This position keeps accurate records to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations and company policies. Warehouse Technician operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities Include
  • Transact all aspects of Materials Management and Inventory Control functionality using the SAP MM and PM modules of the computerized management system.
  • Goods Verification and receipt.
  • Positive Material Identification (PMI) practices. Responsible for PMI Inspection including tracking and issue resolutions.
  • Inspect materials for damage and/or defects and confirm technical attributes meet requirements.
  • Actively document and track incorrect part attributes and vendor related issues for resolution through the Nonconformance Report (NCR) process.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete material and inventory records
  • Provide quality and timely service to customers at the warehouse counter/window.
  • Issue materials to workorders or cost centers as defined on material reservation or picklist.
  • Perform physical inventory counts in accordance with the documented cycle count procedure and schedule.
  • Manage non-stock materials and direct charge Items.
  • Small package delivery to the refinery units.
  • Support the material preservation process.
  • Safe and effective operation of a forklift, Wave, and other lift assist devices.
  • Complete daily equipment and weekly warehouse safety audits in accordance with HSEQ Assurance Plan.
  • Utilize Microsoft Windows applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) in everyday work
  • Communicating effectively with refinery personnel regarding materials, inventory levels, and inventory control.
  • Hazardous Materials Awareness and completion of required training(s)
  • Work in a variety of settings from office to warehouse to field installations in all types of weather as needed for effective materials management and inventory control.
  • Kit and stage materials as required to support Maintenance execution schedule.
  • Actively participate in meetings, group discussions, and company/site safety programs.
  • Support TAR and Project activities as applicable.
  • Participate in company training and development opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping and 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain) in all areas of the Warehouse.
  • Miscellaneous task as assigned.

  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the environmental compliance requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and learn various databases and systems.
  • Basic Mechanical skills

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
