Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Technician to manage the branch's inventory, process orders, and support fleet operations.

You will maintain stock, run reports, coordinate with vendors, and assist drivers while ensuring accurate records and compliance with safety policies.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 2+ years in warehousing; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• Basic inventory control understanding.
• Basic mechanic skills, able to perform maintenance and non-routine repairs.
• Experience with computerized inventory systems preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient keyboarding skills.
• Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsabilités

• Maintain consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
• Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
• Provide inventory reports to the purchasing and inventory control manager(s).
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors.
• Maintain accurate, daily records of goods received and shipments made.
• Manage and maintain inventory system; facilitate upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
• Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
• Assist with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
• Operate a forklift when necessary (with proper certification).
• Work with the fleet management team to procure, maintain and repurpose fleet vehicles.
• Coordinate with the insurance specialist(s) to take care of fleet damages.
• All data entry of monthly fleet expenses.
• Available to assist drivers with vehicle needs 24/7.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
