Position Summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Warehouse Technician to play a hands‑on role in keeping IQ Fiber's supply chain running accurately and efficiently. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, and issuing materials — including Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) such as ONTs, Wi‑Fi gateways, and mesh units — and for ensuring that field technicians always have the equipment they need to serve customers.

A key part of this role is managing the full lifecycle of returned CPE: receiving returns, testing and refurbishing equipment, and returning serviceable units to inventory. This role works closely with field operations, inventory management, and procurement teams and requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to warehouse organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect, verify, and receive inbound materials into the warehouse, confirming quantities and condition against purchase orders; process all material transactions in the WMS (NetSuite/RF Smart), including receiving, issuing, and transfers.
  • Restock and rotate materials using FIFO principles; conduct full physical inventory counts and participate in recurring cycle counts; proactively communicate material shortages to the team.
  • Pick, package, and stage equipment for field technicians, fulfilling orders within 24 hours of request; create, edit, and monitor orders in the WMS to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
  • Coordinate scheduling of pickups with freight carriers; identify, document, and resolve shipment and delivery errors before signing and returning the carrier copy.
  • Receive and process returned CPE, logging returns accurately in the WMS; test returned equipment and move units through the appropriate refurbishment workflow, including cleaning, repair assessment, and cannibalization when warranted.
  • Return serviceable CPE units to active inventory and document the disposition of unserviceable equipment; use hand tools and cleaning products as part of the refurbishment process.
  • Manually load and unload deliveries and daily pickups safely and efficiently; operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks in accordance with safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit‑ready warehouse environment in accordance with SOPs; submit required reports accurately and on time.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with field teams, inventory management, and leadership on material status and operational needs.
  • Perform occasional pickup, delivery, and loading/unloading of CPE and materials using company fleet vehicles.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related role.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record for occasional material transport.
  • Forklift certification required, or must be obtainable within 90 days of hire.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new software systems; experience with NetSuite ERP and/or RF Smart inventory scanning preferred.
  • Background in telecommunications, ISP, or technology hardware logistics preferred; experience with CPE handling, testing, or refurbishment and familiarity with FIFO and cycle count procedures a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and loading/unloading throughout the shift.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently in a fast‑paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally for internal and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Ability to maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory documentation.
What Success Looks Like
  • Field technicians consistently receive the right equipment, staged and ready within required timeframes, with warehouse execution eliminating delays caused by picking errors or stock gaps.
  • Inventory records in the WMS are accurate and current, with receiving, issuance, transfers, and returns documented promptly and correctly to maintain full traceability.
  • Returned CPE moves through refurbishment efficiently, with serviceable units returned to active inventory quickly and unserviceable units identified and dispositioned properly to protect stock health and accuracy.
  • The warehouse is consistently clean, organized, and audit‑ready, with materials stored and rotated according to FIFO standards and locations maintained to support fast, accurate fulfillment.
  • Shipment errors, delivery discrepancies, and material shortages are identified early and handled with strong ownership, with issues documented clearly and escalated quickly before creating downstream operational impact.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout a shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously across the warehouse floor and facility grounds while receiving, staging, and fulfilling orders.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck to safely transport and position materials.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and repetitively handle items while stocking, rotating, and organizing materials and shelving.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as scanning, sorting/counting, and data entry for sustained periods during a shift.
