Job Summary/Objective

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for safely retrieving, moving, and staging merchandise and materials. This role requires operating material‑handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring warehouse areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

This position requires adherence to attendance, punctuality, safety protocols, and all compliance requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and DOT driving standards. Candidates must be dependable and committed to maintaining a professional work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains organized files and records.
  • Prepares equipment by pulling materials needed, staging products, and loading items for installation crews.
  • Stacks and stores equipment in designated warehouse locations.
  • Prepares outbound shipments using appropriate carriers.
  • Unloads inbound shipments and moves equipment to correct storage areas.
  • Removes trash, cardboard, and debris after unwrapping or assembling materials.
  • Fulfills warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy through proper tracking and handling procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Demonstrates reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to meet and maintain all DOT requirements, including a clean motor‑vehicle record.
  • Ability to successfully pass and maintain all pre‑employment and ongoing employment requirements, including background check and drug screening.

Preferred and Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Two or more years of warehouse experience.
  • Forklift experience (certified or able to obtain certification).
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of common warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Understanding of 5S, Standard Work, and Lean principles.

Skills Required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain certifications for all required powered‑industrial equipment within 60 days of hire.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and a dependable work ethic.
  • Demonstrate dependable and professional conduct, including attendance, punctuality, and communication.

Work Environment / Physical Demands / Travel Required

  • Routinely drives assigned fleet vehicles.
  • Works primarily in a non‑air‑conditioned warehouse and yard environment with occasional office exposure.
  • Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%).
  • Physical demands include frequent sitting, walking, standing, bending, balancing, and lifting.
  • May be required to lift 10–100 lbs occasionally.
