Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited in Delta Junction, AK is seeking a Warehouse Technician to ensure high quality supply, storage and distribution of goods. The role supports on-site operations with a strong focus on internal customer service and efficient material handling.

The job offers a permanent position on a 14 day on / 7 day off rotating schedule, with extended hours at a remote site and company-provided camp facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year's experience in a relevant role (shipping/receiving or inventory).
• Computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative and prioritize tasks.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass background check and post-offer physical.

Responsibilities

What’s the role?

The Warehouse Technician reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and the primary role is to provide warehouse services that ensure high quality supply, storage and distribution of goods in support of Company business activities. A strong focus on Internal Customer service supports the day-to-day needs of operational activities from the Warehouse area.

The specifics:

• Operate Inventory Systems
• Receive/stock and direct charge materials
• Maintain the surface warehouse, cold storage buildings, connex storages, pallet yards and other assigned inventory areas in a clean, safe and well organized manner
• Perform inventory control and usage reporting
• Other duties as required

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year's experience in relevant role, e.g. shipping/receiving goods/maintaining inventory.
• Demonstrated competence with office processes, systems, equipment and software.
• Computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Must display initiative, be able to work independently and learn what is needed to perform required tasks.
• Ability to get along with others as a team player, have an excellent work ethic, attendance record.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.

Desired Experience & Competencies

• Warehouse environment experience.
• Experience operatingsemitractortrailer.
• CurrentCDL.
• Minimum 3 years’relevant experience in industry.
• Experience in a highly regulated environmental industry.
• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.

Working a 14 day on, 7 day off rotating schedule up to 11.50 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.

Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, great Wi-Fi & cable TV. Cell service is available through Wi-Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
