Werner Electric Supply in Appleton, WI is hiring a Warehouse Teammate for the 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM). You’ll handle wire and conduit, cut to length, stock and prepare shipments, and operate forklifts and related equipment.

The role requires attention to quality, accuracy, and safety, with opportunities for OT during busy periods. You’ll be part of a team at a well-established electrical distributor with strong benefits and a culture that supports growth and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work OT during busy periods.
• Basic computer system knowledge.
• Previous forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming copper and aluminum wire shipments and verify quantity and quality.
• Use wire cutting equipment to cut wire to specified lengths according to product specs.
• Receive, inspect, store, and pick conduit, PVC, channel, and cable tray.
• Label, organize, and store materials for easy retrieval.
• Maintain inventory records through WMS transactions and footage marking management.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishing inventory as needed.
• Inspect wire cuts and materials for defects, reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain high quality standards throughout handling processes.
• Prepare materials for outbound shipments including picking, packing, and labels.
• Collaborate with shipping to ensure timely deliveries.
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment like coilers, spoolers, and A-frames.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive incoming copper and aluminum wire shipments and verify their quantity and quality.
• Use wire cutting equipment to accurately cut wire to specified lengths, following product specifications.

• Ensure proper labeling of tag number, organization, and storage of the materials for easy retrieval.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through WMS transactions including footage marking management.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishing the inventory as needed.
• Inspect wire cuts and materials for quality and accuracy, reporting any defects or discrepancies.
• Maintain a high standard of quality assurance throughout the handling process.
• Prepare materials for outbound shipments including picking, packing, shipping labels, packing lists, and staging.
• Collaborate with the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, coilers, spoolers, compartments, and A-frames.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
