Job summary

Werner, a leading electrical distributor based in Appleton, WI, seeks a Warehouse Associate to manage customer returns and ensure proper credit and stock integrity. You will communicate discrepancies via our computer system and prepare packages for return to vendors or customers.

The role features a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), with a starting wage of $19 per hour, a sign-on bonus up to $1,000, and an annual bonus of $2,400.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check in, process, and report discrepancies in customer returns.
• Pull, pack, and process vendor return orders.
• Check in and process glove testing orders.
• Create lists of good items that have no existing RGA list.
• Pack and process orders for return to customers or vendors.
• May assist with cycle counting.

Summary:

Warehouse role responsible for checking in customer returns in order to accurately provide proper credit to them and to ensure quality product goes back into our stock for the next customer. Ability to communicate discrepancies with orders via computer system to other departments. Properly prepare packages and process orders for return to our vendors or to our customers.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
• Related picking/packing or general warehouse experience a plus.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Checking in, processing & reporting out discrepancies Customer returns orders.
• Pulling, packing & processing Vendor return orders.
• Checking in & processing glove testing orders.
• Checking & creating a list of items that are good that don’t have an RGA list already.
• Packing & processing an order for return back to customer.
• May assist with cycle counting.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard. Employee is required to ascend and/or descend a ladder or stairs to reach work areas. The employee must frequently move up to 25 pounds, regularly move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 75-100 pounds. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently. The employee is required to be able to effectively communicate while on the job floor and throughout the completion of duties.

The working conditions of this positionrequires the employee to work inside. Employee is required to use personal protective equipment to maintain safety and prevent exposure to harmful materials/ elements. Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts. The environment for which this position functions may be exposed to prolonged loud noises and may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and/ or weekends.
