Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Warehouse Teammate to help ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders and maintain safety in the warehouse in Wisconsin. You will count, verify, receive shipments, stock and pick, document and pack orders, and resolve shipping discrepancies.

The role requires attention to detail and strong customer service. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of warehouse receiving and material handling experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a forklift

Qualifications

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience.
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Count, verify, and receive incoming shipments and returns.
  • Stock and maintain the warehouse; pick, document, and pack orders.
  • Pay close attention to detail to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle shipping discrepancies per procedures and forward paperwork as needed.
  • Identify nonstock, special-order, and damaged material; store appropriately.
  • Complete documentation for shipments delivered via third-party carriers.
  • Load and unload trucks and operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Inform supervisor of stock depletions, discrepancies, or damaged merchandise.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and security of assets.
  • Perform safety training and adherence to Safety Standards.

Do you thrive on providing an excellent customer experience? Are you safety and service-oriented? Do you possess the attention to detail necessary to ensure the accurate fulfillment of customer orders? If so, we’d like you to join our Warehouse team as a Warehouse Teammate.

About the Role:
You will:
  • Be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stock and maintain the warehouse; and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
  • Identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations.
  • Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
  • Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assist co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
About You:
  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license

  • Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.

  • Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
  • Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
