Job Summary

Receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
2. Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
3. Place materials/goods on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequences.
4. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items and distribute to production workers or the shipping department.
5. Assemble customer orders from stock and prepare for shipping.
6. Mark materials with identifying information.
7. Open bales, crates, and containers.
8. Record amounts of materials received or distributed.
9. Ensure conformance to standards by weighing or counting items.
10. Arrange stock parts for assembly.
11. Use computer systems to enter records.
12. Drive vehicles to transport or pick up items.
13. Maintain inventory records.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
15. Follow safety standards and company policies, including proper handling of tools and equipment.
