Job summary

Hibbett Wholesale, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Member in Alabaster to handle product at case and pallet level, including counting, picking, stocking, scanning and moving merchandise within the distribution center.

You will operate with safety in mind, maintain organized work areas, and collaborate with colleagues to meet daily goals. Starting pay is $15 per hour with daily pay options and benefits from Day 1.

Qualifications

• Must perform physically demanding warehouse tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
• Regular physical attendance is essential.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work with power equipment and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety rules.
• Transport, load and unload trailers using power equipment and by hand.
• Read work orders or follow instructions to move merchandise.
• Load and unload merchandise from pallets, trays, racks and shelves.
• Ensure cases and pallets are sorted correctly.
• Move merchandise to other distribution center areas as needed.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Warehouse Team Members are responsible for handling of product at the case and pallet level to include counting, verifying, separating, picking, stocking, scanning, moving, updating, etc. Move merchandise to other Distribution Center areas as needed. Loads and unloads merchandise onto or from pallet, tray, racks, and shelves by hand. Lifts heavy objects by hand, team lifting, or power equipment. Ensures cases and pallets are correctly sorted.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a clean work area and common areas.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards to a Distribution Area Manager.
• Communicate any problems to Distribution Area Lead or Distribution Area Manager.
• Transporting, loading and unloading trailers to include using power equipment, conveyors and by hand.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain merchandise or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads merchandise onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand, team lifting, or with power equipment.
• Ensures cases and pallets are correctly sorted.
• Move merchandise to other Distribution Center areas as needed.
• Regular physical attendance is essential for the performance of the job.
• Demonstrate good organizational and time management skills.
• Maintaining performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage and maximum safety.
• Assists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workloads require or during absences of personnel.
• Completes special projects and tasks as necessary.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
