Job description

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am to 3pm, plus mandatory overtime as required

Pay: $17.50 / h

$3000 retention bonus [ $500 at 90 days, $1000 at 6 months and $1500 at 1 year]

Job Summary

Responsible for the preparation and transport of raw materials in support of kitting production. This will include the removal of outer packaging from raw materials and accumulating factory work orders on to carts to support the production schedule; movement of materials into and out of the production room, to include stocking for point of use inventory items. Responsible for delivering returns cart to the Breakdown /Salvage department for processing and ensuring empty return carts are available for production.

Core Responsibilities

  • Places safety first. Follows all procedures and policies. Self corrects issues and or reports to management immediately when required.
  • Understands and follows all company policies, procedures and objectives.
  • Retrieves next picked work order skid(s) from designated warehouse location.
  • Verifies all components are present by matching each part number, lot number, expiration date on the outer carton to the pick ticket.
  • Verifies each component matches description or photo in SAP.
  • Retrieves cart(s), bin(s), tub(s) and other appropriate containers for components.
  • Deboxes each carton and places in appropriate container size/style.
  • Assigns and attaches the correct stock ticket to each deboxed component.
  • Transports completed carts/bins/tubs to the appropriate work center lane or overflow area in the debox and pick ticket to the label room.
  • Restocks Point-of-use (POU) inventory as needed.
  • Handles any discrepancies or second issues requested from production as needed.
  • Brings next sequential work order to the appropriate line when requested from production.
  • Delivers production returns to Break/Down salvage for processing and ensure empty cart available for production.
  • Performs additional duties as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Works using SAP to enter various inventory control transactions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Equipment, Tools and Work Aids

  • Material handling equipment (to include items such as: hand truck, stretch wrap machines, safety knives, printers, RF Scanners, computers and digital scales).
  • OSHA approved Protective Footwear
