Job summary

UPS is seeking a dedicated supervisor to lead Package Handlers in a dynamic warehouse environment in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on safety, productivity, accuracy, and excellent customer service while fostering teamwork.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, ensuring policy compliance, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement across departments with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Responsibilities

• Supervise Package Handlers and train, develop, and hold workgroups responsible for safety, production and attendance
• Set and maintain high standards for account productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety
• Provide innovative and effective leadership and cultivate a functional working relationship with all levels of personnel throughout the organization
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures at all times
• Manage department resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency
• Establish a positive, team-oriented environment and promote proactive communication and continual improvement
• Implement employee development plans and ensure ongoing training and coaching
• Ensure orientation, skills training, and regular evaluations for department personnel
