Job summary

Twin City Fan & Blower is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing activities in Elkton Township, SD. The role focuses on training planning, quality checks, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient, safe production.

You will oversee 2+ years of manufacturing experience, guide cross training, and ensure adherence to 5S, Lean, and ISO-9000 procedures while coordinating with the Value Stream Leaders and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents (policies, procedures, work instructions).
• Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information.

Responsibilities

• Assist with department training plans and cross training to increase flexibility and 100% coverage.
• Ensure quality checks and paperwork are complete before product leaves the department.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Assist with 5S improvements, visual factory improvements, and changeover/setup reductions.
• Maintain a clean working environment including open aisles and good housekeeping.
• Maintain continuous improvement mindset within the production teams.
• Communicate daily with Value Stream Leaders.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with MMS and schedules.
• Ensure safe and timely production of scheduled deliverables.
• Assist with employee evaluation, discipline, and root cause analysis.
• Identify and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
• Assist diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Participate in Gemba and prepare LDMS board as needed.
• Create and update standard work instructions.
• Work up to 80% time in department to maintain flow of work.
• Act as a certified First Responder when trained.
• Apply ISO-9000 procedures and ensure compliance.
• Be a role model for team engagement and morale.
