The Warehouse Team Lead makes an impact by -

  • Responsible for assisting with proper storing, staging, transferring, freezing, and loading of food products and/or materials utilizing manual and powered material handling equipment in a cGMP compliant environment. The Warehouse Team Lead responsibilities include proper use of required PPE in these respective environments.
  • Operate Woodson/VRT machine proficiently.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Track (PIT) safely.
  • Serve as a backup to the warehouse supervisor/manager as needed.
  • Report input and output inventory results to production supervisor maintaining accuracy of inventory.
  • Assist with Material Handling process related to staging and receiving finished products and shipping.
  • Pick proper quantities of finished goods; perform the required data input and load onto shipping in accordance with all applicable SOPs to maintain proper inventory values, product quality, tractability and security of finished goods.
  • Through a good working knowledge of inventory locations, inventory sizes, types, pallet counts and patterns, efficiently and accurately make physical and electronic transfers of materials throughout the material handling process chain.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy standards are met as outlined in the SOPs.
  • Ensure that safety, product quality, housekeeping, and general sanitation standards are met throughout the warehouse processes.
  • Ensures first echelon maintenance as required for the Woodson and associated product transfer equipment.
  • Uphold the integrity of the quality system by following good documentation practices.
  • Be engaged in the day-to-day running of the business by performing tasks beyond normal/baseline job responsibilities, participating in team or business improvement meetings and initiatives positioned toward improving business results.
  • Always represent the company in a positive and professional manor.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands -

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • The employee is required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required).
  • The employee is required to wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in a manufacturing environment for 8+ hours.
  • The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks.
  • Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks.
  • The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
  • Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
