Job summary

Franklin Sports, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead for our Memphis, TN distribution center. The role supports production operations and reports to the Production Manager in a fast-paced, 500,000+ sq ft facility.

You will lead up to 50 hourly associates, drive daily workflow, train staff, and uphold safety and quality standards to ensure top service levels for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months of team lead or related warehouse experience.
• Forklift certification highly desired.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day flow of work as directed by the supervisor.
• Lead a team of up to 50 Full Time and Temporary hourly associates.
• Train all members of assigned team in work procedures, methods, and practices.
• Promote and maintain a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
• Promote an environment of continuous improvement that ensures a high level of quality in daily operations.
• Interface with supervisors and employees in other departments to guarantee an uninterrupted workflow.
• Perform the role of supervisor as needed when the supervisor is not present.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime hours, including weekends as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will do:We are looking to hire a Production department Team Lead for our 500,000+ square foot distribution center. This role will support Production operations. This position is located at our Distribution Center in Memphis TN and will report to the Production Manager.

IN MORE DETAIL, YOU WILL:

WHO YOU ARE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of six (6) months of team lead experience and/or related warehouse experience
• Prior forklift certification highly desired

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work cross functionally with internal and external parties at all levels
• Possesses basic math skills

Level of Responsibility:

Interact regularly and follow up with internal and external parties based on direction of management, presents information for decision making to managers, and the requires ability to independently follow up on pending items and to manage their own daily tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position performs the role of supervisor as needed when the supervisor is not present.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work will be performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to changing temperatures. While performing the duties of this job, this person is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
