Job summary

NFI Industries in Indiana is seeking a Warehouse System Support specialist to become the WMS expert for our distribution center. You will train key users, guide system configuration and process layouts, and act as liaison between operations and the IT Helpdesk.

The role involves supporting day-to-day WMS needs, running waves, and participating in on-site implementation with a focus on continuous improvement. Thursday–Sunday shifts from 6 am to 6:30 pm are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of professional experience operating leading WMS solutions.
• 5+ years of experience working with systems, material handling equipment, or similar technologies.
• Ability to read, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety and work instructions.
• Input data into computer systems in use.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Create and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Multi-tasking with good time management and attention to detail.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, and software systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-site implementation and customer interactions to meet business requirements.
• Ensure tools/processes are leveraged and communication/support is effective.
• Document new functional requirements for enhancements to core products.
• Create and update training materials as needed.
• Train and mentor team associates on solutions and best practices.
• Help define, monitor and analyze WMS KPIs.

Overview

The Warehouse System Support will support the automated DC and support all functions related to Cloud-based Warehouse Management System (WMS). This position will work with all members of the team on supporting the day to day needs of the WMS system in the DC. This position will become an expert of the system to train key users and provide guidance on system configuration, process and layout design. The Warehouse System Support will act as the liaison from the operations team and the IT Helpdesk.

Shifts Available:

Thursday through Sunday - 6 am to 6:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Fulfill role of WMS knowledge expert for warehouse management system from requirements gathering/analysis through daily operations
• Run waves to support flow of the building
• Perform inventory counts and reconciliation processes
• Troubleshoot day to day issues
• Participate in integration meetings with technical teams to help determine specifications relative to integration mapping and product configuration.
• Assist in roll out of test plans, data, and cycles to ensure that all requirements identified in the requirements gathering phase will be validated.
• Provide guidance, and training/knowledge transfer to a team ensuring stability of the DC during and after initial deployment.
• Participate in on-site implementation and customer interaction to ensure delivery of business requirements.
• Ensure that appropriate tools/processes are leveraged, and effective communication and support is provided throughout the process.
• Document any new applicable functional requirements as necessary for enhancements to core products to meet scope of proposed solution.
• Create and update training materials as needed.
• Train and mentor team associates on solutions and best practice of implementations and continuous improvement.
• Help define, monitor and analyze WMS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience operating leading WMS solutions
• 5+ years of experience working with systems, material handling equipment, or similar technologies
• Ability to Read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc
• Input data into computer system(s) in use
• Work overtime as assigned
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
• Work independently and as member of a team
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
• May be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (such as a packaging line) (intermediate level) preferred
• Strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, and software systems, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
• Advanced computer skills, including experience with system software, programming languages, and data analysis tools
