Job summary

Tate & Lyle is hiring a Warehouse Support to join our operations team. You will be responsible for maintaining safety standards, operating packaging and warehousing equipment, and ensuring accurate process execution. This role requires adherence to GMPs, PPE usage, and basic computer tasks such as Windows, E-mail and SAP.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts, committing to safety, quality, and reliable performance in daily material handling and shipping activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of safety programs, PPE, MSDS, GMP, guarding, powered equipment, safety auditing, location of safety equipment.
• Operate packaging, warehousing and shipping equipment following procedures.
• Follow area SMPs for processes and equipment.
• Safely perform all field-related activities.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills: Windows, E-mail, SAP, time entry.
• Carry out responsibilities according to Food Safety, legal and quality requirements to ensure products are fit for human consumption.
• Comply with environmental standards and report violations or near misses.
• Adhere to safety policies, participate in the safety program and report incidents.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting of up to 55 pounds without mechanical assistance.
• Use of hand tools above shoulders, under ergonomically stressful conditions, and under application of heavy force by employee.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, and perform other physical duties.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule in a 365/24/7 operation with the flexibility to work alternate schedules as needed.
