Job summary

Tate & Lyle in Alabama is seeking a Warehouse Support team member to assist with safety programs, equipment operation, and basic warehouse tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will use Windows, E-mail, and SAP for time entry and communications, follow GMP and PPE guidelines, and help maintain safe, compliant operations across a 365/24/7 site.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety programs, PPE, GMP and equipment safety procedures.
• Ability to operate basic warehouse systems and entry of time data.
• Familiarity with SAP and standard office software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support warehouse operations and safety programs on site.
• Operate packaging warehousing equipment following procedures.
• Enter time and use basic IT systems to track activities.

Warehouse Support Requirements

• Know all safety programs, procedures and expectations: PPE, MSDS, GMP, guarding, powered equipment, safety auditing, location of safety equipment, etc.
• Display basic computer skills: Windows, E-mail, SAP, time entry, etc.
• Know process, procedure and basic equipment operation for: Packaging equipment, warehousing, shipping etc.
• Know basic SMP's for area specific processes and equipment.
• Be fully capable of safely doing all field related activities.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting of up to 55 pounds without mechanical assistance.
• Use of hand tools above shoulders, under ergonomically stressful conditions, and under application of heavy force by employee.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, and perform other physical duties.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule in a 365/24/7 operation with the flexibility to work alternate schedules as needed.
