Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring Temp to Hire Warehouse Associate in Whitestown, Indiana.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly.

  • Hourly Pay: $18.24 per hour
  • Overtime Pay: $27.36 per hour
  • Schedule: First Shift 6:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, OT as Needed

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of related warehouse experience required
  • One year or more related warehouse experience preferred
  • Learn to operate powered industrial trucks, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, including maintenance and recognizing mechanical issues (intermediate required)
  • May be required to operate manual and automated warehouse equipment (intermediate preferred)
  • Powered industrial truck certification
  • Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and work instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to input data into the WMS computer system(s)
  • Work overtime as assigned
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and self-drive to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Responsibilities
  • Package, kit, and assemble orders and materials
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensure correct scanning, and assist in training dock employees
  • Ensure facility security at end of shift, resolve scanning issues, and perform housekeeping
  • Perform picking and packing duties, check for damage
  • Handle materials within logical transactions as per policies and procedures
  • Perform material moves with physical/logical transactions
  • Participate in team activities for self-improvement and operational efficiency
  • Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned
