Responsibilities

  • Lead, assign, and monitor daily work of warehouse staff including receiving, put-away, order fulfillment, staging, shipping, returns, cycle counts, and housekeeping.
  • Coordinate priorities to ensure energy-efficiency materials and tools are ready for scheduled work orders and events.
  • Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, and accurate recording of inventory; verify quantities and location.
  • Maintain accountability for serial-numbered devices and controlled inventory from receipt to issuance and reconciliation.
  • Establish organized inventory locations, labeling, material flow, and secure storage.
  • Plan cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies; document findings and take corrective action.
  • Ensure returned or damaged equipment is inspected and processed per procedures.
  • Provide stock level updates and flag shortages or risks to leadership.
  • Train and coach staff on standard work, material-handling equipment, and safety.
  • Monitor performance and address staffing concerns as needed.
  • Enforce safety requirements and conduct warehouse inspections.
  • Oversee palletizing, wrapping, labeling, loading, and daily cleanliness.
  • Participate in hands-on warehouse duties when needed.
  • Support continuous improvement to improve accuracy, productivity, and service.

Resource Innovations is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Charlotte, North Carolina, to lead daily warehouse operations supporting a large scale utility energy efficiency program. This position oversees warehouse associates, inventory control, receiving, staging, shipping, returns, and facility organization while ensuring materials and equipment are available for scheduled field activity. The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on leader who promotes a safe, accurate, organized, and service-oriented operation.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead, assign, and monitor the daily work of warehouse associates, including receiving, put-away, order fulfillment, staging, shipping, returns, cycle counts, and housekeeping.
  • Coordinate warehouse priorities with program and field leadership to ensure energy-efficiency measures, demand response devices, tools, and other materials are ready for scheduled work orders and events.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and accurate recording of inventory; verify quantities, condition, documentation, and proper warehouse location.
  • Maintain accountability for serial-numbered demand response devices and other controlled inventory from receipt through issuance, return, and reconciliation.
  • Establish and maintain organized inventory locations, labeling standards, material flow, and secure storage practices.
  • Plan and oversee routine cycle counts and inventory reconciliations; research discrepancies, document findings, and implement corrective action.
  • Ensure returned, defective, unused, or replaced equipment is inspected, documented, segregated, and processed according to program procedures.
  • Review inventory and operational records for accuracy and provide timely updates on stock levels, shortages, damaged materials, backorders, and other risks.
  • Train and coach warehouse associates on standard work, inventory procedures, material-handling equipment, quality expectations, and safe work practices.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and work quality; provide timely feedback and elevate performance or staffing concerns as appropriate.
  • Enforce safety requirements, conduct routine warehouse inspections, address hazards, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and material‑handling equipment.
  • Oversee palletizing, wrapping, labeling, storage, loading, cardboard breakdown, recycling pickups, and daily warehouse cleanliness.
  • Participate directly in warehouse activities as needed, including lifting, moving, staging, and loading materials.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that increase inventory accuracy, productivity, safety, space utilization, and service to field teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; additional coursework or training in logistics, supply chain, inventory control, or operations is preferred.
  • Three or more years of warehouse, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, inventory, production, or related experience, including at least one year in a lead or supervisory capacity; equivalent transferable experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating daily workflow, assigning work, training employees, and holding team members accountable for safety, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Working knowledge of inventory-control practices, cycle counting, receiving, order staging, returns processing, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use inventory, order‑tracking, and program systems.
  • Ability to safely operate, or willingness to be trained to operate, pallet jacks and other material‑handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and climb.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced warehouse environment and adjust priorities based on program and field needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. The expected compensation for this position is $26/hr. - $31/hr. The stated compensation represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.

  • This includes three weeks of paid vacation annually, paid holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, medical, dental and vision coverage, parental leave, an employee assistance program, commuter benefits, and additional supplemental offerings.
